Here are 10 unusual animals to see before you die.


  1. Emperor Tamarin: A very unique animal with impressive facial hair, Emperor Tamarin is a primate primarily found in the South West Amazon basin, East Peru, Bolivia and Brazilian states of Amazonas and Acre. These strange little monkeys were given this name as their moustache resembles that of the last German emperor Wilhelm II’s.


  1. Shoebill: As the name suggests, this unique bird has a bill shaped like a shoe. These highly effective predators are abnormally tall, some even reaching heights over 4ft. Shoebills have really powerful beaks which they use to strangle the prey. They are even known to attack juvenile crocodiles.


  1. Coconut Crab: The largest crab in the world with such strong claws that they can easily rip apart a coconut. It is the largest terrestrial arthropod in the world, with a weight of up to 4.1 kg.


4. Malayan Colugo: These strange looking animals are a type of flying lemurs. They have big eyes that help them easily                spot prey and use their wings to glide from tree to tree.


  1. Blue Footed Booby: These animals almost look unreal. Blue-footed boobies are named after their bright blue feet.


  1. Markhor Goat: With a pair of impressive spiral sets of horns, Markhor Goats look stunningly ethereal. Their horns can reach up to four feet in height. These mountainous goats are native to Central Asia, Karakoram and the Himalayas.


  1. Wombat: Wombats are fuzzy little animals with friendly faces and calm demeanor. But Wombats have rodent-like teeth and can get aggressive if they feel threatened.
