 Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana

In 2015, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana was launched to provide the youth of India with the opportunity to get training that would assist them in achieving industry level skill. With such skill, the employment opportunities would increase and the beneficiaries would be able to lead a dignified livelihood. Their prior learnings and skills would also be certified through Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana under Recognition of Prior Learning. The nodal ministry of this scheme is The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

Special projects: PMKVY aims to encourage training in the vulnerable and marginalised groups of society.

Placement opportunity: Maintaining high-quality training standards through Skills Development and Management System and creating and providing placement opportunities to the trained and certified individuals.

Following the Pandemic, The MSDE has also launched Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 3.0, which aims to provide over 300 skill courses to the youth. It also focuses on COVID related and new age employable skills. The newer version has been developed keeping in mind the employment loss due to the Pandemic to match the current situation and to energize the use of skill set that has been affected by the COVID 19 pandemic.
